Community Action has built a solid foundation of success, knowledge, and expertise in helping millions out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. For close to five decades we have worked with partners – public, private, federal, local and state. Community Action understands that as people, programs, and the landscape changes, we will join and work with those whose vision supports the goal and the Promise of Community Action to provide opportunity and economic security for all. The Community Action Partnership Annual Convention is an unparalleled opportunity to discuss important issues affecting the Community Action Movement. Community Action management, field and program staff, board, friends, colleagues, and supporters from communities all across the nation gather for professional enrichment and to share ideas with a wide range of peers. The discussions at the Annual Convention will ensure that improving the economic security, quality of life, and opportunities for all members of low-income communities is a priority for us. Plenary sessions and workshops will examine the most pressing concerns on the local, state and federal levels. We will invite your thoughts and feedback as we chart our course for the months and year ahead. During this Convention we will come together to discuss our strengths, strategies and achievements. There are great challenges ahead of us as we move toward the 50th year of Community Action. But as we face the challenges together we are bound to go in new and exciting directions. Join us in New York as we continue our efforts together as a Network. |
